250 grams butter
2 cups Icing sugar (Confectioners Sugar/Powdered Sugar) sifted
½ cup PURE Maple Syrup
Using hand held electric mixer/beater, whip butter, icing sugar and Maple Syrup until smooth and creamy. This may take sometime, as you need it to be light, fluffy and cream in color. If consistency is too thick for your liking 1 or 2 drops of full fat milk added at a time and whipped until you reach your desired thickness is all that is required.
This Frosting enhances Banana, Banana and Carrot, Carrot, Carrot and Walnut. I have also used this on a Vanilla and Chocolate Marble Cake with HUGE Success!
I buy my Maple Syrup from the following supplier. If you see there are so many varieties! I love the “Maple Bear” and the “Maple House” for use around festive occasions. I have also used these as gifts, much to the delight of my friends and family!!!
